Here are 3 eco-games to add to your wishlist

wishlist-wednesday Nov 19, 2025

As we get closer to the end of the year, I always find myself reflecting on the games I've played, the games I haven't, and the games I'm looking most forward to in the new year. This year, I've had loads of press releases crossing my email and so many of the games I see look super neat...and then I never hear about them again.

So, I want to try something new. I want to elevate a handful of games that I'm tossing on my wishlist. I'm also cognizant of wanting to highlight new games, but also ones you may have missed. There are so many games coming out these days, that it's easy for something to come out in August and to be forgotten by September, so in case you missed it, I've got you covered.

Today's "issue" (we in online publishing will think of creative ways to never say listicle again; thanks Buzzfeed) has three games that I'm looking forward to all based on a similar theme: ecology. If you've listened to Point to Point or read the site for a while, you know that this is a game theme that has my heart and I'll at least give most eco games a try no matter what. So, without further ado, here are three older, new, and upcoming eco-games I think you should check out.

The Regreening

Developed and published by Positive Impact Games

The Regreening was just announced and details are pretty slim right now. However, it appears to be a Stardew Valley-like cozy game, but instead of maintaining a farm, you're slowly bringing life back to a barren desert. Restore animal habitats, plant and cultivate the landscape, clean up old junk, and explore a story filled with folklore and hope.

Coming in 2026.

Life Below

Developed by Megapop and published by Kasedo Games.

An underwater city builder where you restore life back to the ocean floor. Shape coral reefs, revive long-lost habitats, and explore multiple underwater zones with their own challenges. There will be a campaign mode that has you restoring the sea at the behest of Gaia. Part city-builder and part fish tank, Life Below looks like a delightful way to learn about ecology and how our seas are suffering (and how we may be able to bring them back from the brink).

Coming in 2026. Demo now available.

Plan B: Terraform

Developed and published by Gaddy Games.

Plan B: Terraform is a factory automation game where the goal is to terraform a lifeless planet into a habitable home for humans. The first half of the game has you building the machines and systems to raise global temperatures, unlock underwater ice, restore vegetation, and create weather systems. But that's just the first part. Next, you'll manage the extraction of resources to build cities, logistics lines, and all the amenities humans need. Plan B looks like Factorio, without the belching smoke of industrialization. Sign me up.

Available now.
